Delicious non-greasy body oils

Experts recommend body oil

Your body is your tool for everyday life. It should not only be kept in good shape through training, exercise and continuous movement.

It also needs to be lubricated with oils and fuelled with energy, both from within and without.

Training, exercise and what you eat is your business, but we're here to tell you what you can offer your body to lubricate the outside. The answer is vegetable oils.

Those who first try natural vegetable body lubrication rarely - and in most cases never - go back to other methods.

Vegetable oils give you the best body lotion you can offer your body.

Non-greasy body oil

We get a lot of lovely people asking for non-greasy body oils. We laugh a little.

Not by you asking, of course, but inside ourselves (and a little hehe giggle out loud), because the truth is that body oils are not supposed to be greasy. In principle, there is no natural oilsthat are actually greasy on the skin, when they are produced for the skin, which basically means as untreated as possible

It may sound crazy, but the fact is that pure body oils shouldn't be greasy. However, it's clear that they are greasy the moment they are placed on the palm of your hand and massaged into the skin.

But here it's quick. Because your skin absorbs the oil relatively quickly. Some oils may seem more greasy than others, but once they are absorbed by the skin, they shouldn't be greasy anymore.

Still not convinced? Then read more about why oils are good and why they're non-greasy here and much more about oil shelf life and oil rancidity here.

Best body oil for dry skin

Many people suffer with dry skin or at least experience dry skin from time to time.

There are many factors that play a role in why you have dry skin. But for many people, it's largely down to the lifestyle we lead on a daily basis here in the Western world.

Everything from the harsh wind to long, hot showers, cleansing your skin, sunbathing and harsh make-up can dry out your skin.

To learn more about why skin gets dry and what you can do about it, we recommend reading our article on dry skin.

Best body oil for oily skin

Just as some people dry out completely, there are others who leave too much oil on their skin.

The causes can be some of the same, but basically, it's a case of the skin's own oil production getting out of hand. As a result, the body produces far more oil than it needs.

The problem, however, is that it's often due to our lifestyle of constantly removing the protective oil our bodies produce. We wash too often and use many different tools to get rid of oily skin.

The skin is constantly trying to compensate for the loss of protection. The skin's own oil is used to protect the skin from the elements and external bacteria.

Read far more about oily skin here and get inspired to restore your natural good oil.

Fragrance-free body oil

At CHLEOPATRA, we always recommend that you use a body oil without perfume. Perfume and even natural essential oils can cause allergic reactions. It is therefore important to know which ingredients you are putting on your skin.

Unfortunately, other manufacturers also have a habit of adding boring chemicals in the form of synthetics and preservatives to their products. Things you definitely don't need. Therefore, stay away from products whose main ingredient is water. You can easily get that from the tap. Go for pure oils, while you're on the hunt for a good body oil, you might as well go for the best.

If you're looking for fragrance-free body oils with no added preservatives, you've come to the right place. CHLEOPATRA sells only pure and 100% natural vegetable oils, all of which can be used directly on the skin - without dilution.

So you're free to choose a good oil you really like.

Best body oil for pregnant women

Pregnant women tend to grow a nice little belly, as the saying goes. This beautiful belly also comes with less desirable elements, such as the risk of stretch marks.

Stretch marks are the most common reason why pregnant women seek out body oils. We wish we could reach all pregnant women before they get pregnant, because there's nothing easier to do about stretch marks than to prevent them with natural oils on your tummy.

Once you've got stretch marks, it's a long-winded process to get rid of them. Instead, by moisturising, nourishing and softening your skin before and during your tummy bulge, you'll have a much better chance of avoiding stretch marks afterwards.

If you're looking for oils for your pregnant body, you should generally stay away from essential oils and only choose mild vegetable oils that are suitable for pregnant women.

We've compiled a list of the Best oils for pregnant women. Read it and find your favourite oil.

We recommend almond oil.

Body oil for men

We also find that both men and women come to us asking for specific oils for men. There are no oils that are more suitable for men than women - or vice versa for that matter.

All pure skin oils are just as good for men as they are for women. The reason for this is that the marketing of oils for men is often different. For men to really like an oil, many believe that the oils should have a certain masculinity in the form of a masculine or musky aroma.

To achieve this, you either have to use perfume or the natural flavourings - essential oils. It's up to you whether you can handle your oil better if you think it smells more like what you think it should. In that case, you can simply mix a few drops of essential oil into your oil and voila - you have a body oil for men.

Instead, we recommend that you don't let the scent fool you, but go for an oil that you and your skin both like. Let your body enjoy the same natural connection that all women love about natural oils.

Homemade body oil - Make your own body oil

Once you've learnt a little more about the different ones and found the ones you like best, you can also mix and match your own body oil.

You can blend different oils and thereby achieve the effect of all the beneficial properties of several different oils.

You can even add fragrance and extra therapeutic benefits to your body oil by mixing a few drops essential oils in your body oil.

Oils that are all suitable as body oils

It's not just the oils we recommend that can be used as body oil.
The oils below are also great body oils.

All oils are fragrance-free.

THE 8 BEST ANTI-AGEING OILS

We've compiled a list of eight of the oils we believe are best suited for use as body oils. Each one has powerful properties and benefits for the body.

Here they are in no particular order:

Jojoba Oil

A wonderfully versatile oil that suits most people skin types and is easily absorbed into the skin. Jojoba oil is actually a wax and not an oil, even though it's called an oil.

Jojoba oil is a natural cure for eczemawhich is caused by a lack of moisture in the skin. It has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce redness caused by dryness and other skin conditions such as rosacea.

Jojoba oil also works well on oily skin. Linoleic acid and antioxidants found in jojoba oil help regenerate skin cells.

Clogged pores often lead to pimples or acne and are a common problem for teenagers in particular. The oil helps to dissolve the production of pimples and blackheads. Jojoba oil cleans up the exposed areas and clogged pores and leaves no scars or marks.

Jojoba oil has good cleansing properties and can be used as a make-up remover and a facial soap. Jojoba oil can be used all over the body before bathing. It provides good hydration to the body, so you can safely skip body lotion after bathing.

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is so wonderfully easy to describe. It's simply marvellous. Especially if you get your hands on a really good quality one.

Unfortunately, however, most people are fooled by a seemingly fine extra virgin coconut oil from the local co-operative.

We allow ourselves to call it night and day when we compare such a cooking oil with a really good coconut oil that is specifically for external and cosmetic use.

You can read much more about the oil here and if you've already been introduced to coconut oil and have come to love its many benefits for the body. Let's just say you won't be disappointed.

The applications are frankly numerous and the benefits to the skin speak for themselves. There's a reason why coconut oil has become so popular. We'll say no more...

Hemp seed oil

Vitamin booster for the body.

You'll never go wrong with hemp seed oil. It's packed with all-natural ingredients vitamins and minerals.

In fact, hemp seed oil is one of the oils that carries the broadest spectrum of vitamins. All the way from vitamin A to Vitamin E.

The oil's greenish hue disappears as soon as it is rubbed into the skin and it carries a wonderful natural aroma that reminds you of the days of Woodstock and free time in the 60s.

Yes, it is a hemp oil after all - but it's completely THC-free, so you won't get any hallucinations from this oil.

On the other hand, the oil is great for use all over the body. Both the face and the rest of the body. However, you should be aware that the oil has an absorption level of 1, which makes it a rather dry oil. It is therefore best suited for people with normal to oily skin.

Avocado oil

In addition to Vitamin E avocado oil contains potassium, lecithin and many other nutrients that can nourish and moisturise the skin.

The outermost layer of skin, known as the epidermis, easily absorbs these nutrients, which also help to form new skin.

Vitamin E, lecithin and other nutrients work double duty as antioxidants that help reduce free radical damage, which in turn brightens skin tone from within.

Avocado oil can be massaged into the skin, used in a face mask or added to lotions, creams, shampoos or bath oils.

It can be used on the skin daily without any negative effects. To use avocado as a facial moisturiser, take the inside of an avocado peel and massage it into your face.

Argan oil has anti-sebum effects that can effectively regulate the amount of sebum on the skin. This can help treat several different types of acne and promote a smoother and calmer skin tone.

Apply argan oil - or face creams containing argan oil - directly to your skin at least twice a day.

Argan oil does not clog pores. As this oil is non-comedogenic, it can actually enable the skin to stay hydrated, breathable and breakout-free.

So whether you want to apply argan oil to your face, head or anywhere else on your body, you can do so without worry.

Argan oil protects the skin's barrier and improves overall texture. It can be used to help dry, sensitive skin for those looking for more natural remedies.
