What is raspberry seed oil?

Red raspberry seed oil is highly moisturising and softening for the skin. The oil is exceptionally high in alpha and gamma tocopherols (vitamin E), polyphenols and other antioxidants, making it suitable for anti-ageing. The oil is good against wrinkles, rashes and eczema and contains a naturally high SPF (not tested).

It's also rich in Vitamin A and contains up to 83% of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Red raspberry seed oil has many anti-inflammatory properties and is therefore considered to be one of the most effective oils for use in the treatment of eczema, psoriasis and other skin diseases.

Its high vitamin A content also makes it a good choice as an additive in the production of products for acne problems.

The oil is believed to have a natural SPF of 28-50. This is not scientifically proven, so even if you use the oil as natural sun protection, you should still seek official remedies.

Although raspberry seed oil is said to be good for protecting the skin from the sun's dangerous UV rays, you NOT Use the oil alone as protection from the sun.

There is no real research that conclusively proves the oil's SPF effect. Therefore, you should always use approved SPF products to protect yourself from the sun's UV rays.

However, you can still use raspberry seed oil as an addition to your normal sun protection products.
