anti-ageing facts

Your skin loses its natural elasticity over time

Over time, the natural production of oil in the skin is reduced and it loses its elasticity, leading to fine lines, wrinkles and flaky skin. Therefore, to maintain the optimal appearance of the skin, you need to replace the lack of oils with other natural oils to keep it moisturised and smooth.Numerous natural oils have potent anti-ageing properties and their use rejuvenates, hydrates and softens the skin.

What is anti-ageing oil?

The definition of anti-ageing is to stop or slow down the ageing process. Your body is made up of cells and ageing occurs as a natural part of life. As your cells age, something called cell death occurs.

Infants, children and young people have strong cells that are both resilient and capable of creating new cells. As our body's ability to generate new cells diminishes, cell death occurs and the ageing process follows.

Anti-ageing, in this sense, are agents that help prevent this ageing process.

Anti-ageing oils are natural and pure oils that contain vitamins that have the ability to prevent the ageing process and help regenerate new cells.

What are the signs of skin ageing?

The first typical signs of ageing are wrinkles and fine linesmost commonly around the eyes, on the forehead and in the corners of the mouth (from all the smiles you've shared over the years).

Wrinkles start to develop around the age of 25-30, although they are hardly noticeable at first. Another sign that your skin is aging is a loss of volume or firmness, which can be felt when you touch your skin or make different facial expressions. The surface of the skin feels more fragile and shows a distinct loss of youthful glow.

Keep your skin moisturised

It's not just dry skin typesIf there's a focus on hydration, ageing skin definitely needs it too.

As we age, our cells weaken and our bodies produce less hyaluronic acid. This means that our skin can't properly retain moisture either, which affects the quality of our skin.

Wrinkles worsen, the face feels tighter and thinner, and we no longer have a small layer of water in our cells.

Think about plants - if you don't give them water, or if they can't keep what they are given, they will wilt, just like our skin cells do.

How to keep your skin moisturised and prevent ageing

First and foremost, remember to drink water!

It will keep your body and skin healthy and flush the worst toxins out of your body. In addition to good old-fashioned drinking water intake, make sure your daily skincare routine includes a mild and light anti-ageing serumwhich will deeply nourish your skin. A good anti-ageing oil can help your skin strengthen its barrier and allow your body to retain more water.

Which oil is best for anti-ageing oil

- Best anti-ageing oil test

Commercial manufacturers use natural oils when making creams - especially anti-ageing creams. The reason for this is obvious, of course.

Vegetable oils are naturally rich in the essential ingredients needed to blend a beauty elixir that can put a big fat "Anti-Aging" label on it.

Here you get these natural miracles in their purest form. So which one is the best, you ask?

The best thing about natural products is that they're all great in their own way. Just like the cream your friend thinks is best but isn't quite right for you can be the same when it comes to natural remedies like vegetable oils.

That's why it's great to have several different options. Especially the different pure oils you find here on the site. So it's not so much about which one is the best in general. But rather, which one is the best for you?

You'll find out simply by trial and error. Ultimately, the only one who can unequivocally declare a winner is your own skin. It will tell you what it likes best, absorbs best and feels best.

So listen to your skin, it has the answer to the best anti-ageing oil for you.

Oils that are all suitable for anti-ageing

It's not just the oils we recommend that can be used for anti-ageing.
The oils below are also great anti-ageing oils.

All oils are fragrance-free.

4 BEST ANTI-aging oils

We've compiled a list of four of the oils we believe are best suited for anti-ageing. Each has powerful properties and benefits for the face.

Here they are in no particular order:

Acai oil

Acai berries are rich in antioxidants, making acai oil a great ingredient in any anti-ageing product. These antioxidants fight free radicals and keep your skin healthy, glowing and vibrant. Acai also contains amino acids, which are known to accelerate collagen production, helping to keep skin smooth, supple and wrinkle-free. The fruit's antioxidant properties along with its amino acids make it a go-to ingredient for slowing down the signs of ageing while protecting the skin from UV damage.

Cacay oil

In the past, we've considered rosehip seed oil to be one of the best natural sources of Vitamin A. However, Cacay oil leaves rosehip seed oil in the dust with an incredible concentration of natural vitamin A - also known as tretinoin or all-trans retinoic acid. Cacay oil contains around three times as much of this vitamin as our previous favourite. Not only that, it also contains twice as much natural vitamin E as argan oilwhich probably puts Cacay oil in first place when it comes to a true, genuine anti-ageing oil.

Prickly pear seed oil

Prickly pear seed oil is super rich in vitamin E, making it suitable as a natural anti-ageing oil. It is often used as a 100% natural facial serum under other make-up.

Prickly pear seed oil leaves the skin silky smooth, is incredibly gentle on the skin and definitely deserves a second spot on this list.

Marula oil

Because marula oil is light, it is easily absorbed. This makes it an effective moisturiser for dry or ageing skin. It can be beneficial for smoothing and softening fine lines, preventing stretch marks and keeping skin hydrated and nourished. It is also an effective lip moisturiser. Marula oil contains L-arginine and glutamic acid. Both of these amino acids also have moisturising and anti-ageing properties. Fatty acids - especially monounsaturated fatty acids, which marula oil contains - also help moisturise your skin.

Best anti-ageing oil for facials

As we age and the years fly by, so does our skin's own oil, elasticity and shine, leading to the appearance of wrinkles, dull and sagging skin and fine lines.

So if you want your skin to be as it once was, you need to use the oils your body once produced to keep it moisturised and smooth.

To achieve this, we must use the many vegetable oils that are completely natural and have amazing anti-ageing and moisturising properties that will help rejuvenate and re-soften your skin.

Oh yeah, and don't forget...

Remember that in addition to a good portion of H2O (Water), you also get good vitamins for the skin and body by eating healthy. Fill your snacks with different fruits and nuts. This way, you'll have plenty of opportunities to saturate your skin and body with all the goodness it needs.
