SUnderarm sweat is most often what leads to smelly armpits. The problem is a major annoyance, as it makes you feel uncomfortable and a little clammy.

There's almost nothing worse than when you can smell yourself - that's when you know it's wrong. It's annoying and worrying when you're with others as you don't really feel like you can be yourself.

You often try to hide a little and at least try to avoid arm movements. When you suffer from smelly armpits, you automatically become a little shy and demotivated to interact.

How do smelly armpits occur?

Of course, there are common causes of underarm sweating, such as hard physical labour or sports. But often it's people who are sitting still who experience the problem.

Underarm sweat can easily occur when you're nervous. Perhaps you know what it's like when you're going to a job interview and on the way there it starts dripping down your sides?

Arm sweat can easily be associated with nervous tendencies. It can also be a detoxification process the body undertakes to get rid of toxins it doesn't like.

There can be many different elements involved. For example, it could be a form of allergy that is secreted under the arms and probably also in scalp and maybe the palms of your hands.

Many smokers may find that they sweat smellier than non-smokers and this is often related to the many toxins that are absorbed and separated from the body. So it could very well be due to something you consume.

Natural treatment for underarm sweating problems

Sweating problems should be investigated to find out why you are sweating in the first place. If you have increased sweating, the problem is usually not the sweating itself as it is a way for the body to detoxify.

To avoid underarm sweating or at least alleviate the problem and temporarily improve underarm body condition, dab a few drops of tamanu oil into the armpits.

Tamanu oil contains antibiotic and antifungal properties, both of which can improve and alleviate the problem. However, the cause does not disappear.

You should try to find the cause to make sure you can fix the problem. If it only happens when you're fussy, it might be something you need to work on.

If you experience it after eating a lot of meat or dairy, try avoiding it for a while to see if that solves the problem.

Also be aware that sweat in and of itself doesn't smell that bad. It's only when the sweat dries up and settles in the hairs under the arms, only to be moistened again by new sweat, that the odour can really take hold in the nostrils.

This may also explain why far more men experience the problem of smelly and sweaty armpits compared to women.

Free tip - use lemon

You can also try a completely free and very simple method - lemon slices. Cut a lemon into slices and Wash yourself under the arm with the lemon. Over time, this can also help to reduce smelly armpits. Furthermore, it will also help to bleach if your armpits are very dark.
