One of the best tips for healthy hair is to skip the hot water from the shower. The best heat on the water is just slightly above your body temperature.

Let your hair air dry

Healthy hair - hair tips #8

Let your hair dry by itself instead of using a blow dryer or hot rollers. Using this kind of artificial drying technique will make your hair more brittle and dry. If you don't have time to let your hair air dry, use blow-drying sparingly and make sure to use a mild hot setting instead of a very hot setting.

Use the correct brushing technique to avoid static electricity and split ends

Healthy hair - hair tips #9

Avoid using a comb with plastic bristles to prevent hair breakage due to static electricity. The best way to brush your hair is to brush the ends first to avoid tangled hair and then take the long bristles from the roots of the hair to the ends. This technique will help to spread the hair's natural oil and thus prevent breakage. Furthermore, you shouldn't brush wet hair as it is much weaker and therefore breaks more easily.

Healthy hair - hair tips #10

It doesn't necessarily look great and it can also feel a little sticky, but the result is delicious.

Now apply it all over your hair (after a shower with slightly wet hair) and leave it on for 5-10 minutes.

Then rinse it out with lukewarm water. You'll be able to tell if the water is enough. If you find it difficult to get it out of your hair, you can wash it, but in that case you might want to rinse your hair beforehand instead of washing it twice.

Be careful with the ends of your hair

Healthy hair - hair tips #21

Most of the time, we pay less attention to the oldest part of our hair, the ends. They are the last part to receive moisture from the products we apply, but they are the first to lose it again. In addition to trimming split and damaged ends, you should apply your product all the way to the ends. You should always moisturise and seal the ends of your hair.

We've been asked if you can use A38 instead of yoghurt for your homemade hair conditioner.
Our answer to this is that you can, in principle, use yoghurt, A38, ymer or any other kind of sour milk product. Just make sure you find a neutral version. All of these contain calcium and proteins that can restore, strengthen and protect hair.

Apple cider vinegar is great for cleansing hair and scalp, and is especially good for soothing an irritated and itchy scalp. It also helps to make hair soft and shiny. The apple cider vinegar should be diluted 1:3 and poured over the hair, watch your eyes! Let it sit for a while and massage the scalp, rinse thoroughly with cold water. You can use this cleanser once a month, after shampoo and before conditioner, or at the end of the sequence.
